As a small Borough we work together in ways not possible in larger boroughs and we see ourselves as progressive and positive. We support our staff by providing the freedom for ideas to develop and flourish whilst providing necessary guidance to ensure you can be the teacher you want to be. Where possible, our schools work together to share best practice, skills and experience to ensure we build on our excellent reputation.

At Kingston , we provide a central induction programme for NQTs and support your progress throughout your first year. We provide training, monitoring and guidance to ensure that your induction is effective and the eventual assessment fair and accurate. We are very proud that we have an excellent 'pass' rate for our NQT induction year.

At all Key Stages, Kingston schools consistently achieve results well above the national average. These high standards make our schools extremely popular with parents both inside and outside the Borough, so most schools are regularly over-subscribed. Our 2003 Ofsted Report stated that Kingston 'is a good LEA.....with many strengths and very few weaknesses.....providing excellent leadership....committed to raising standards further and improving educational opportunities for all....'
