We form part of the natural world. Everyone living and working in the Borough coexists with other species and relies on natural processes to survive. Everyone can take steps to ensure that this remains the case for future generations.

These webpages provide a 'Bromley Biodiversity Action Plan'.
A platform from which to highlight habitats and species that are locally value. A basis on which to direct habitat and species conservation in the Borough.

Many organisations and individuals have already been involved in helping biodiversity in the Borough as part of the Bromley Biodiversity Partnership. More can participate. In 1999, the Bromley Biodiversity Partnership was the first to produce a local biodiversity action plan for a London Borough.  The Plan is now in its 3rd Edition, covering the period 2006-2009, and there's lots to do!

People are part of nature’s rich diversity.  People rely on biodiversity for well-being and  survival.  Biodiversity is our life-support service!   Biodiversity plays an important role in satisfying our health, spiritual, environmental and economic needs.  A balanced natural environment provides us with four ‘services.

Responsibility for the conservation of biodiversity rests with us.  Everyone living and working in the Borough has reason to recognise that biodiversity is relevant to them and to play a part in helping to conserve it for future generations.

Since 1999, many organisations and individuals have already been involved in helping to implement the Bromley Biodiversity Action Plan (BBAP).  There's lots to do and more can participate! Can you help biodiversity help you?
