Communication Strategy

Principle considerations for ensuring effective publicity for biodiversity in Bromley are outlined below.

•

Steering Group to identify and coordinate key joint opportunities for BBAP publicity for the subsequent year, with discussions taking place in winter of each year.

All Partners to strive to mention Bromley Biodiversity Action Plan where relevant and appropriate.

Press clippings/releases/newsletters/articles and location of displays relating to meeting biodiversity targets to be sent by Partners to the Chair of the Steering Group (020 8461 7808) on an on-going basis to enable monitoring of coverage.

Partners to identify opportunities for BBAP webpages and contact the Bromley Countryside Service (01689 862 815) by 28th of each month with details for inclusion ( eg. events, features, volunteer projects etc.)

News items on the BBAP webpages to be updated on an ongoing basis.

Steering Group minutes of meetings to appear on BBAP webpages (archived after a year).

•

Annual Report of Partnership to appear on webpages each year (first quarter of year).

•

All Partners to direct people to the BBAP web pages as appropriate as key source of information.

•

All Partners to help highlight opportunities for distribution of leaflets/events that could provide a means of promoting biodiversity and report these to the Chair of the Steering Group.

•

All Partners to look out for efforts undertaken by individuals/groups unlikely to formally be contributing information to the Partnership, and inform the Chair of the Steering Group (eg. potential award winners).

•

Opportunity for general public to submit ‘action for biodiversity' on webpages.

•

Logo designed 2006 to be used on Bromley Biodiversity Partnership publications.
